[Havoc in contrast looks quite put together if not rather rural in a long dun skirt and cream blouse. Never mind the multiple knives hidden on her person- just in case. She'll ignore Amber's lack of personal care (more like, she ignores the implication that she's so affected by Hei's death as that), and offer her the distraction she apparently needed.]

[ Indulging in sweets to drown her sorrows, why not? She wanders away from Havoc without as much as a gesture and heads toward one of the food counters, picking out a tub of butter-loaded popcorn for her company and a sweet one for herself. ]

[Havoc repeated to confirm her own choice, though she followed along behind Amber easily enough- she had a strict nutritional guideline she was following for herself, but. A tub of popcorn wouldn't do anything adverse.]
[ Amber buys herself time from having to reply to Havoc by stuffing her mouth with popcorn. A little rude, perhaps, but things like manners and other social constructs are only useful around humans who expect them. Without a word, she saunters toward one of the viewing rooms, walking slowly so Havoc can follow.
Later, long after it seems she has let the topic drop: ]

[ While Amber has always been of the mind that humans are more complex than they are. Logic is straightforward. There's always one outcome that's most beneficial to one's survival, but emotions throw all that out of whack. She stands as the very evidence of that, all broken up and dazed in the wake of it.
She follows Havoc quietly, still munching on her popcorn. ]
[People react illogically. They sometimes lunch to attack when they have no chance of winning. Sometimes act against their own interests based on an insult or a goad. Sometimes do nothing when doing nothing was counter productive.
But their motivations... those were simple seeming to Havoc.
(Not that she could say her own motivations were not simple- stay alive.)
As Amber munches, Havoc's thin fingers move over the selection without any recent pop culture exposure to help her.]
[ There's always a way to justify an action using reason. Words are pliant that way. She should know. But her own doings recently are difficult to explain when considering her nature, she knows this too, and hopes it at least alarms Havoc and November and perhaps even April. Enough that they may reconsider.
The fact that Havoc reached out to her a movie, too. ]
[Disquieted. Havoc was not comfortable with Amber's... emotional compromise. Her obvious attachment. She was the first of them, was she not? She had been a Contractor longer than anyone, was that not what it meant?
And if she-
Pushed aside the uncomfortable for now, to select a movie. Female-led, apparently a comedy... perhaps appropriate.
[ Amber peers over to check out the title, not that she really cares if the movie is bad. In a way she's only here because Havoc asked her and because she enjoys her company and because the thoughts that occupy her mind when she's alone aren't pleasant these days. Her fussing about the movie is only for filling in the silence.
